How do you turn off the shutter sound effect in still camera mode and also disable the beep every time you start and pause recording in video mode on the HDR-SR12?
This is how it works on my SR1. I'm sure your SR12 will be similar.
Turn on the camcorder.
Select the "Home" menu.
Select the little "toolbox" on the far right.
Select "SOUND/DISP SET".
Select "BEEP".
Select "OFF".
This will disable all sounds emitted from the camcorder.
