HD Rendering Solutions?

I have Vegas 8 Platinum and I can render HD videos just fine, but for some reason my friend's Pro 8 can't. It gets to a certain number of frames and just stops. With a big project finishing up it's kind of important that we resolve this. Any ideas?

The backup plan is for me to download the demo version of Vegas 8 Pro if I can, and he can bring the project files to my house.

You have not given us much to go on. When you say "just stops", does V8 Pro abort, lock up, exit? Notwithstanding, I would first make sure that enough memory is available.

Various warnings are given from "error..." to the program just crashing. I do suspect memory issues, but on my computer it gives me a specific error "system memory exceeded" whereas on his there is none.

Two things:

1. make sure you have the latest version of Vegas installed (i.e., Pro 8.0c), and
2. make sure you have the latest Windows patches installed.

Good luck.

*I managed to fix this problem by dragging all of the tracks, at once, into another window of Vegas then saving it as something else, and rendering.*
