HD2000 Comparing Digital AV on vs. off

http://www.motionbox.com/videos/3096d6b61819ebcbbe

In my humble opinion, the digital AV system doesn't do much at all. It makes hand held recording very difficult. My Canon HG10 has good optical AV and I can see it working when I hand hold the recorder. But the Sanyo's AV doesn't do anything as far as I can tell.

On the other hand, if I can keep the Sanyo steady, it takes great video. The more the lens is zoomed, the more difficult it is to hand hold the camcorder steady.

My next test will be using a tripod to eliminate any hand movement.
