Extracting a stuck tape

I have an Optura 10 that has given me many years of good use. It now won't fully eject a tape -- it dings, pops out part way, then goes back in part way. It is basically stuck in limbo with my tape inside. I am not interested in spending hundreds of dollars for repair -- after 6 years, I think I can upgrade to a new one -- but I do want to get that tape out! Any suggestions on how to disassemble it, or should I just start unscrewing things?

Also, once I extract the tape I am willing to sell the camcorder "for parts" -- I have a perfectly good Hoya UV filter on it and three battery packs that are certainly of value -- any forums where I might list this stuff?

Many thanks.
