Had the FS10 for a couple weeks...
And originally I wasn't too impressed, it didn't seem all that much better than the HF10.
But after taking and watching a few videos, I'm impressed. The video clarity is much better, and the color seems better as well. Mostly bright light videos, but even my wife noticed they looked better.
Still not sure it's worth $1K to upgrade if you already have an HF10, but it is at least noticable!

FS10 or HF-S10...?
There is no way FS10 ($250 online) could possibly have a better image than HF10. FS10 is a last-year's (already discontinued) standard-def model with 8GB memory, and HF line is all Hi-Def. I can't imagine where you'd pay $1,000 for it (and why).
Is it possible that you are confusing it with HF-S10...?
