Who burns Blu-ray discs (HD video) from their camcorder?
Hi,
I have my Sanyo Xacti FH1 (Similar to the HD2000 model) and am interested soon in burning some of my video to Blu-ray discs (I still need to buy a blu-ray burner for my computer, but am planning on getting it soon).
Two questions...
(1) What Sanyo Format/resolution should I record at for Blu-ray
I don't think Blu-ray supports the Full-HR 60p 1920 x 1080. So is it a waste to record using the Sanyo at that if your goal is to just eventually transfer the video to Blu-ray? Should I just use Full-HD 60i 1920 x 1080 16Mbps? (Ignore the CPU requirements, as I already have a new/powerful PC).
(2) What software should I buy
Also if anyone here is making blu-ray discs from their Sanyo HD2000/FH1 camcorders. What software do you us? The Nero Essentials software it comes with doesn't support blu-ray unless I upgrade it. Anyone going with the upgraded Nero to burn their blu-ray discs? Talking about software for a Windows VISTA machine, that is fairly-easy (i.e. don't need to be a professional) to use but still has the basic features you'd expect, and that doesn't cost over $100.
Interested in hearing other's opinions who are using either the FH1 or HD2000 and burning blu-ray discs
Thanks!
