I'm new to the forum and in need of your help -

My Elura 100 (purchased over a year ago as a refurbished trade with Canon) will only do playback but will not record (shows only blue Canon screen). I've been told that to have Canon repair evaluate/service will cost $175.00-$200.00 minimum. Does this sound right -

Not sure if i should forgoe service and invest in a 2008 or 2009 lower end Canon HD unit
