Anyone know when the HD2000 will be available to purchase in a brick and mortar store in the US?

The Sanyo HD2000 may not have a big marketing advantage for a brick and mortar store to carry it. Any camcorder that can shoots 1920x1080i can and will be called full high definition. If a customer insists on progressive high definition there are plenty of camcorders that shoot 1080p at 24 or 30 frames per second. Of course the video will be very choppy but the customer will think he is getting a good deal because it is full high definition 1080p.

That's what I did. Fast delivery by air. No problems with the camcorder.
