I just bought this camcorder and I have spent several hours trying to adjust the manual shutter for the camcorder to 1/10,000 which the manual says it can do. I purchased this one specifically because it says that it could. On page 169 of the manual it says it can go to 1/10,000 but I seem to only be able to get it to 1/500. I have a feeling it is because I need to switch it from "still image recording mode" to "video clip recording mode" because the max on still image is 1/500. I am filming a high speed action and that is why I need 1/10,000 or atleast 1/4000 minimum. I really appreciate anybody's advice that knows this camera better.
