Im trying to make a comparison, but there is very little sample footage for the HDCSD1 that I can find. Im looking for a small lite weight flash camcorder as a backup to my Canon HV20, and I would go for an HF series camcorder, but they are too expensive for what I want to use it for, and they need power to upload footage.

The HDCSD1 has a 1/4 inch 3CCD sensor system, where the HDCSD20 has a 1/6 inch single sensor system which as a comparison would be a lot of difference, but the HDCSD1 only has a 13mbps transfer where the SD20 has up to 17mbps.

any youtube footage I can find looks pretty similar, so im not sure. Im looking at the HDCSD1 also because it has a mic input which is handy, as I was using the Sony HDRCX100 which was fine, just the mic was shocking.

Any advice would be sweet.
