GS-15
I'm with you Jeff, I have not seen anything on this model. I did buy it last week, and so far I have been happy with it. I have not hooked it up to my PC, as I have a Win98SE without a DVD burner. I am not sure the my PC will support a DVD burner.
So I have the same question you have. I have not frame of reference to know whether this is a good camcorder or not.

GS-15 / GS-50
I actually just bought the GS-50 (just about the same as the 15) and I'm very happy with it so far. Nice and compact, and powerful.

Panasonic PV-GS15
I just bought this camcorder, too. Haven't used it enough yet to form a strong opinion but I like what I see. Once had the 203 so familiar with some of Panasonic's features. I think I will be pleased with it, overall, because after long experience I know not to expect decent stills from a camcorder in this range, but just to concentrate on its audio and DV video advantages. Plan to get a megapixel digital camera soon for stills.

I've been researching camcorders the past couple of days, and the features of the Panasonic PV-GS15 sound very nice... 24x optical zoom, and 3 hour battery!
How are you guys finding the video quality?

Changing the Clock Time?
I like this camcorder but can't figure out how to change the clock time in settings. Manual not clear about this.

How does this cam work in low light? Was thinking of the Canon Elura but I have read hear some serious problems with tapes in previous models. So how does this GS-15 work in low light?
Thanks

GS-15
Unfortunately, I can't get past the low light problem. In my opinion, it is a severe problem with this camcorder and I am going to sell it despite some of the other features that I like. Buying another brand tonight.

GS-15
Looked at some other camcorders tonight. Not sure if I should sell the GS-15 yet. I want to try using it for a while under different shooting conditions. Need to give this more time. It has some other nice features, too. Sony is generally supposed to be good with low light but more expensive and usually less features than the Panasonic. Jury still out for me.

Been racking my head for a week and over getting a cam. Going to try the Canon Optura 20, $489 online, last years model, original price was over $700, great reviews, here, circuit city and at cnet.com. Only complaint is some say it has motor noise............we'll see.

I just bought the GS-15 on Friday...
So far I am pleased but not 100% sure whether I am going to keep it or exchange it for a Sony HC30
The pro's are:
24 x zoom
Lots of manual controls
External battery charger
non touch screen LCD (if it breaks I can still use the camera)
The cons are:
very grainy in low light.
Magix Pix is a gimmic.. totally unusable unless you are capturing still objects.
Image stabilization is good but only works when not in low light.
No shoe for accessories
No analog inputs to be able to convert to digital

GS-15
I took it back and bought the GS200, Panasonic's 3CCD camcorder with 2 megapixel stills. Awesome camcorder.

do you think the GS-120 or GS-200 is worth the extra money compared to the GS-15 ? it is almost double the price..
I plan to shoot only family things not professional.

GS200
It's a matter of personal choice. To me, it was worth the extra money. I wanted the 3CCD for better videos (almost broadcast quality) and the low light capability is excellent with the GS200. Plus, I like the megapixel stills. Depends on priorities, I guess. I decided I wanted a real high quality camcorder and this is it.
