I am having difficulty creating a video in the MediaStudio Pro 6.0 platform. I can insert an .avi clip into the timeline and can select "create video" and it works fine. The minute I add images or other clips, I can no longer create a video, getting the message "The file may be write-protected." Even when I clear all of the added images and clips and go back to the .avi clip alone, I still get the message. Checking the properties of the files involved does not show that they are write-protected. I am puzzled beyond belief, as I have spent tens of hours trying to make one lousy video and have nothing to show for it. My OS is Windows XP, fast processor, plenty of storage etc. Please help!

I suspect you may be encountering a bug.

Are you attempting to write your video files to your C: drive?

If so - try another drive.

If you don't have another drive, then try renaming the file that you wish to create because I think the version of Ulead MediaStudio Pro that you are using may not properly "name" new files to be written to the C: drive.

I suspect that will fix the issue.
