Adobe Premiere Pro Mac Version will be First

According to Macworld UK, Adobe's Premiere Pro will be available for OS X first, with the Windows version following at a later date. While its been common knowledge for some time that Adobe was bringing its venerable NLE back to the Mac, news of delays on the Windows side seems to stem from none other than the OS X look-alike Vista operating system. According to the article, Adobe all but ceded the world of Mac-based video editing to Apple in the wake of the company's aggressive rollout of Final Cut Pro, discontinuing support for Premiere three years ago. In the article, Giles Baker, the Premiere Pro product manager stated, “We also saw a huge amount of demand from Macintosh customers, and if you look at the creative community it’s about 60:40 Mac, and these Mac users who’ve traditionally been using the Adobe tools are now starting to look at video.” [via Macworld UK] Technorati Tags:
