Avid Updates Xpress Pro to 5.5

Posted by Richard Baguley

Avid have just released an update to their high-end video editing program Xpress Pro that bumps the version number up to 5.5. The new version adds a number of new features, including faster editing and improved media management. The upgrade from versions 4 or 5 of Xpress Pro will cost you $49.95, while new users can expect to pay $1695.

They’ve also just announced the Avid Mojo SDI, a new $1695 device that adds SDI and AES/EBU inputs and outputs to any PC or Mac with a firewire port (and if you don’t know what SDI and AES/EBU are, you probably don’t need them).
