March 29, 2006 - Blu-Ray may once again hit delays, as Samsung and Panasonic both made headlines today concerning later than expected release dates for their players.

Panasonic officially rolled out the DMP-BD10 Blu-ray disc player in a press release today, which will become available this September. Reports earlier in the year suggest that they had been hoping for an earlier launch. The company has instead chosen to release the player in tandem with their first 1080p Plasma TV. Final pricing has not been set for the unit, but the company stated that it will fall under the $1500 mark.

Meanwhile, Engadget and AVS Forum are reporting a source from Crutchfield stating that Samsung's BD-P1000 Blu-Ray player will be delayed until late June. The player was originally announced at CES with an "early Spring" date. In late February, the date was reset to May 23 rd. Samsung has made no official comments on this latest potential delay.
