Blu-ray disc rot plague sweeps the nation (?!)

Posted by Brian Liloia

Yet another exciting bit of news from the high-def world of DVD media: apparently, several users have been reporting instances of Blu-ray "disc rot" cropping up on copies of select Blu-ray movies. More precisely, numerous AVS forum members have noted strange blotchiness on copies of The Prestige, and the majority of these posters are PS3 users. In most cases, these discs are now defunct. Weird, random phenomenon, or something to seriously look out for? It may be too early to tell, but this is information worth knowing. Yikes!
