Canopus Offers 30-Day Trial of EDIUS Pro3

March 22, 2006 - Today Canopus, a division of Thomas’s Grass Valley, launched a 30-day trial of its EDIUS Pro3 v3.61 NLE software, which includes support for 1080i, 1080p, and 720p HDV.

“This 30-day trial will show video professionals that EDIUS Pro3 is an ideal solution for high-volume production houses that require mixed SD and HD format support,” said Hiro Yamada, founder and CEO of Canopus.

The trial software will offer a sampling of EDIUS Broadcast features, including metadata support, realtime native editing and I/O support for SD XDCAM and SD and HD support for DVCPRO P2.

Also featured in the software are unlimited video, audio, and effects layers, realtime onscreen display, realtime batch capture from 1080i camcorders, color correction tools. The full version of the software, which is included with the EDIUS line of hardware and software solutions, sells as a standalone for $500-700.
