Contour Design has announced ShuttleXpress, a new, low cost multimedia controller modeled after Contour’s ShuttlePRO. The ShuttleXpress, together with new software and new application settings, was shown at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB). The press release states that the ShuttleXpress, when bought together with the new driver software and set of pre-programmed application settings, allows users new levels of audio/video editing flexibility and productivity over nonlinear editing programs, image manipulation and compositing programs, audio editing software and more. The new driver software for ShuttlePRO and ShuttleXpress is said to feature better user interface, together with important new functionality such as support for multiple devices, the manufacturer describes. Contour says they will also release new pre-programmed settings for additional audio and video applications, including Final Cut Express, TEPX, Vegas 4, Blade 2.0, Speed Razor 2000/X, Illustrator 10, PhotoShop 7, Acid Deluxe 2, Video Factory 2, Video Capture, Cubase SX, Nuendo 2.0 ... and many more. The ShuttleXpress will be available in May 2003 for $59.99. For more information, visit www.contourdesign.com.
