Creative Announces New Flash Memory Camcorder

Posted by Richard Baguley

For some reason, Creative doesn’t seem to bother offering their flash memory camcorders here in the US. This is a pity, as the latest (the DiViCAM 525D) looks kind of interesting: it shoots video at 640 by 480 resolution at up to 30 frames per second, recording the video in MPEG-4 format to an SD card. It also has a 5-megapixel sensor that can interpolate images up to an 11 megapixel resolution and a 2.5-inch screen, with a list price of $229. However, it is only being offered in the Singapore market at the moment.
