In this Lesson, you will learn how to create titles for your movie.
When the V1 and V2 plus the A1 and A2 tracks are complete, and you have added transitions and filters, it’s time to add titles.
1 1. Click the red Segment: Lift/Overwrite button at the bottom of the Timeline.
2. Bring-up the Title Tool by clicking the Toolbar Title Tool button.
3. Issue the Toolset > Basic Toolset command.

· Arrange the windows as shown below
· Issue the Toolset > Save Current command. In future you can obtain this arrangement by simply issuing the Toolset > Basic Toolset command.

4. Unselect V1 and A1 and A2.
5. Select V2.
6. Mark In and Mark Out to define a segment in the Timeline where the title should be placed. A purple segment will appear in V2.
7. Place the blue Position Indicator over a video frame that best represents the video that will flow under the title.
8. Select the Bin in which the title should be placed.

9. Now create a title.
10. Click the T button within the Title Tool window
11. The green V button in the Title Tool is pre-selected. Therefore, the title will be superimposed over video.
12. The frame where the blue Position Indicator is currently located will appear in the Title Tool.

· Click in the Title window about where you want the first letter of your title.
· Now enter the text
· Select Font, for example “Copperplate.”
· Select font Size, for example “72.”
· Select Justification (Left, Centered, or Right) using the Title Tool
· Select Style (Bold, Italic, or Both)
· Click-hold mouse button on Fill/Face color square and then click the “circle” button to bring-up a color selector. Select the color for the title and click OK.

· To correct a spelling error, or change a title, drag through the text to highlight it. Now you can make the change.
· Click on the Pointer button
· Use the Pointer tool to move the text-box exactly where you want it.

· When you finish a title, File > Save As, and enter its name. Click Save and wait for the title to be rendered. A title is considered an “effect.”
· Close the Title Tool unless you have more titles to create.
13. Issue the Toolset > Source/Record/Editing command.
14. Double-click the title icon in the Bin.
15. Click red Overwrite button between the two Monitors to precisely place title into the Timeline. Below, a title as been placed near the beginning of a Sequence.

When you are finished creating Titles, Enter Extract/Splice-in mode by clicking the yellow Segment: Extract/Splice-in button at the bottom of the Timeline.
Title Super In and Out
1. To super in and out a title, place the blue Position Indicator over the title.
2. Click the Fade Effect (i.e., Fade-an-Effect) button by:
· Click the Toolbar Fast Menu (hamburger-icon) button and drag to the third icon from the left in the top row and release on the Fade
Effect button.
· Enter the Super In and Out times you want to use
Delete a Fade Effect
1. To remove the Fade Effect, place the blue Position Indicator over the title.
2. Click the Fade Effect (i.e., Fade-an-Effect) button by:
· Click the Toolbar Fast Menu (hamburger-icon) button and drag to the third icon from the left in the top row and release on the Fade
Effect button.
· Enter the Super In and Out times as zero
Delete a Fade Effect
1. Click on the Title in a Sequence and press Delete.
2. Again, click on the Title in a Sequence and press Delete.
Modify a Title
1. Click on the Title in a Sequence and press Delete.
2. Again, click on the Title in a Sequence and press Delete.
3. Bring-up the Title Tool by clicking the Toolbar Title Tool button and then drag the title to be modified into the Title Tool window.
