FireStore Announces XL H1 Recorder

Posted by Richard Baguley

FireStore make disk recorders, which replace the usual magnetic tape used to record video with a hard drive. They’ve just announced a couple of new models designed to work with the Canon XL H1 (Specs, Recent News, $7947.89) high def camcorder. The FS-C H60 includes a 60GB hard drive that can hold up to 4.5 hours of 1080i video, while the FS-C H100 has a 100GB hard drive that can hold an impressive 7.5 hours of video. Both models are designed to fit onto the XL H1 case, and can record both HDV and DV video. There are no details on pricing yet.
