Free Disc Creator for Blu-Ray

March 15, 2006 - Today Online Media Technologies Ltd. announced the immediate release of AVS Disc Creator 2.1. It is available for download through their website, http://www.avsmedia.com/. The AVS Disc Creator 2.1 is the first and currently only freeware program for burning Blu Ray media. Its announcement comes just a week after Sony announced the release of blank BD-RE (Blu Ray rewritable) discs in Europe on March 7th.

The AVS Disc Creator 2.1 will support multi-session recordings for multiple back-ups to single discs with storage capacities of 25 or 50 GB, single or dual layer discs respectively. The new software also features a simpler interface system, the ability to import new sessions, delete files or folders, edit content regardless of previously used authoring software, and a meter for monitoring disc space availability. This version of AVS Disc Creator 2.1 will be available in French, German, Italian, and Spanish.

The AVS Disc Creator 2.1 is now available for download at http://www.avsmedia.com/ at no cost. Online Media Technologies states that this software is does not contain spyware or adware, nor does it have any time-based limitations or trial period. The software currently runs on Windows 2000/XP/2003 platforms at this time.
