 Digital Producer Magazine has a review up of the HVR-V1u HDV camcorder. The review was written by Heath McKnight who started using the camcorder back in 2006 when he got his hands on a prototype of the camcorder and used it to shoot a film. He thought the camcorder held up pretty well against video recorded on the JVC HD100 and has an excellent film-like image.
