How To Hack AVCHD Footage For Editing

Posted by Richard Baguley

Jake Ludington has just posted something interesting; a how-to on editing AVCHD video. It’s a hack that relies on using several programs (including PowerDVD Ultra and VirtualDub Mod) to convert the video to a format that can be imported into most video editing, but it’s the only solution available until one of the video software companies properly supports the new format. Kudos to Jake for coming up with a solution that’ll tide us over until the real software starts coming out.
