M-Audio Fast Track USB Sound Card Reviewed

Posted by Richard Baguley

PC Magazine has a review of the M-Audio Fast Track USB audio device, and they seem to like it: “the Fast Track USB is a simple and portable way to create high-quality home recordings and podcasts without needing lots of money or experience.” It’s a pretty basic unit (there are no level meters, for one thing), but it sounds like it might not be a bad choice for doing basic voiceovers and home recording. It’s basically the M-Audio podcast factory that I mentioned a few days ago, minus the microphone, so it might be a good call if you already have a microphone with an XLR plug. It would be interesting to see a comparison of this against the Snowball USB microphone that I mentioned yesterday, though.
