Metacafe and VideoEgg partner in ads

VideoEgg and Metacafe joined forces as video advertising partners. Known for pioneering the video overlay, VideoEgg uses the Eggnetwork Advertising Platform (EAP) for movie-based ads in Flash. Metacafe is a video sharing site with a rewards program for successful video contributors of the site. Along with this business deal, VideoEgg also partnered with imeem and Buzznet. While there aren’t any specifics of how this will change the way viewers of see ads or what that does money-wise for video producers, the companies did mention that the ads will be targeted to the youth market of viewers. We’ll keep an eye out for changes with these companies.
