New Panasonic SD Camcorder?

Posted by David Kender

Pocket-lint.uk, a British tech site, is reporting that Panasonic has announced the SDR-S10, purported to be the world's smallest SD/SDHC camcorder. Shaped more like a digital camera than camcorder, the Pocket-Lint reports that the device features 10x zoom, a 2.7" LCD, and a water-resistant design. Currently, there is no information available on either the Panasonic US site or the Panasonic global site, so the details are difficult to confirm. If true, the camcorder would be Panasonic's fifth new camcorder announced since CES to use SDHC cards, including the AVCHD models, the HDC-SD1 and the AG-HSC1U, and the hybrid SDHC/HDD models, the SDR-H20 and the SDR-H200.  According to the story, the SDR-S10 is scheduled for a May 2007 release and has no set price.

In traditional CamcorderInfo.com fashion, we will continue to hunt down facts on the SDR-S10 until the very screw sizes are spec'd out and critiqued. Stay tuned.
