New Program Tests HD-DVD Readiness

Posted by Richard Baguley

If you are wondering if your PC is up to the challenge of playing HD-DVD or Blu-ray discs, Cyberlink has a program that can help you tell: their Cyberlink BD/HD Advisor will scan your system and tell you if it has what it takes to play the discs. I just ran it on a couple of my PCs and the results were interesting: my desktop system is up to speed, but my laptop (shown on the right) is not. The program links to more information on what the problems may be on the Cyberlink support site.
