OWC Offering 1.5TB External Hard Drive

Posted by Richard Baguley

Looking for some flexible external storage? This might fit the bill: the new Mercury Elite AL-Pro from OWC comes in capacities of up to 1.5 Terabytes, and has USB 2.0 and Firewire 400/800 interfaces. That means it could be used on both PCs and Macs, and the RAID 0 arrangement means you’ll get fast access to the data on the disc. They also offer a RAID 0+1 option, where a third disc mirrors the data, so it is preserved if one drive fails.

Prices start at $209 and go up to $2250 for a 1.5Terabyte version with the RAID 0+1 option.
