We thought the JVC GZ-MG30 was an interesting product, but the video quality was disappointing. PC Magazine seems to agree: they say that “until the image quality gets better and the price comes down, leave this one for the early adopters.” But they do raise the point that, in the long run, this where camcorders are going to go: recording video to a hard drive or flash memory will, one day, be the way that most camcorders work.
