Panasonic is bringing back the "pistol grip" style camcorder with its new waterproof HX-WA2 camcorder.

Introduction

Panasonic is bringing back the "pistol grip" style camcorder with its new waterproof HX-WA2 camcorder. The model is clearly reminiscent of the compact Sanyo Xacti camcorders, like the VPC-CS1 and the VPC-CG10, that hit the market a few years ago—and considering Panasonic acquired Sanyo in 2010, that shouldn't be much of a surprise.

The Panasonic HX-WA2, which is waterproof up to 10 feet, is available in orange or blue, and has an MSRP of $279.
