The Panasonic VDR-D100 is the lowest-end DVD camcorder the company is offering this year. It lacks all the features that you typically miss in the entry-level models – a 2.5” rather than 2.7” LCD, and there is no still media card because the camcorder doesn’t take stills. This model gets down to brass tacks – video footage straight to DVD, no frills. At $500, you get what you pay for.
