Prototype Frisbee Camcorder

Posted by Richard Baguley

It’s just a prototype right now, but this camcorder frisbee is a great idea. Built by a UK design student, the Catchu mounts a flash memory camcorder inside a Frisbee, with a small mirror that allows the camcorder to be protected in the center of the Frisbee, but to still capture the moment of release, the flight and the catch. A tail keeps the camcorder steady as the Frisbee rotates. The whole thing is expected to cost about £45 ( about $85)

This does sound rather fun, but I’m not sure if I would want to watch the video: my dog would love to catch this, and then I’d have some great video of his big slobbery mouth closing on the lens. Mind you, it might make a great horror film…
