There is no still photo functionality on the Flip Ultra. The only way to capture a still image is through the provided Flip editing software, which enables you to produce a frame grab from a video clip. By comparison, the Sony NSC-GC1 Net Sharing Cam can capture stills up to 5-megapixels in size and features a flash.
