PerformanceIntroduction
A mere $50 above the entry-level model, the Sony DCR-HC36 ($400 MSRP) will probably have to do a lot of convincing on the showroom floor in order to justify a purchase. Its only benefits over the HC26 are a remote control and the ability to capture stills at 640 x 480 to a MemoryStick. But with pictures that small, who wants them? With the significant upgrades withheld for the next model up, the HC36 is caught between a rock and a hard place.
