April 11, 2006 - Potential camcorder buyers have until May 15th to take advantage of a Sony offer to trade-in their old video cameras for e-coupons that can be applied towards the purchase of new Sony camcorders through their online store, sonystyle.com.
A simple four-step process leads consumers through signing up for an account, then walking them through a description of their old camcorders – brand, model number, condition of equipment, included accessories, original packaging and other parameters – that allow Sony to gauge the trade-in value.
Once the online process is complete a pre-paid UPS shipping label can be printed and the product shipped to the Sony warehouse. Within seven days an e-coupon will be emailed and the purchase of the new Sony camcorder can be completed.
Surprisingly, this trade-in offer is not limited to old Sony camcorders. Models from Canon, GE, JVC, Panasonic, Quasar, RCA, Samsung, and Sharp will also be accepted for trade-in. For additional details go to http://sony.eztradein.com/sony to discover just how much that camcorder in the closet might be worth.
