Sony Offers HDV Product Rebates

July 11, 2007- Sony has recently offered rebates for select HDV products, the largest being a $300 rebate for the HVR-V1U camcorder. The HVR-M25U VTR HDV tape deck and LMD-2030W 20″LUMA HD monitor both come with a $100 rebate. Those looking for a monitor/tape deck or monitor/camcorder combo will garner a rebate totaling $450—a $150 bonus rebate is offered for the purchase of the LMD-2030W monitor in addition to either the HVR-V1U camera or the HVR-M25U VTR tape deck. Rebates are available for purchases made 4/1/07 through 9/30/07.

The HVR-V1U is Sony's first 3-CMOS professional camcorder, offering 1080/24P, 1080/60i, and 480/60i capture. Internally, the V1U packs three 1/4" ClearVID CMOS chips, each with a gross 1.2MP. The HVR-V1U retails for $4800, the HVR-M25U HDV tape deck retails for $3960, and the LMD-2030W 20” LUMA monitor retails for $1700.
