Sony offers editing option for AVCHD

Sony has announced the May 1^st availability of Vegas version 7.0e, a free update for current Vegas users.  The update allows Vegas users to edit video recorded using Sony’s AVCHDT cameras including the flash drive high-definition camcorders also announced yesterday (HDR-SR5, HDR-CX7, and HDR-SR7).

In July Sony will update its consumer version of Vegas to Vegas Movie Studio Platinum Edition 8 which will have support for the AVCHD format.
