Sony to Fix Faulty Digital8 Camcorder Screens

Posted by Richard Baguley

If you have a Sony Handycam DCR-TRV250 and are having problems with the screen, it’s time to have a word with Sony. After a large number of complaints, the company has finally admitted that there is a problem with what they describe as a “limited number” of the camcorders may have a fault which leads to a distorted or blank image in the viewfinder and LCD screen. According to press reports, the problem can be exacerbated if the camcorder is stored or used in hot and humid conditions, so please stop taking videos of yourself in the shower until you get it fixed. Sony will be repairing the camcorders free of charge to fix the problem until October 2nd, 2007.
