Tips For Aspiring Urbain Filmmakers

Posted by Richard Baguley

Jill Eisenstadt has some good tips for aspiring filmmakers in this article from the New York Times about shooting a low-budget movie in New York. She shares tips from her experience, such as this one for wardrobe: “Pick actresses who fit into your own clothes. Otherwise, it’s B.Y.O.C.: Bring your own costume.” Or this one for dealing with nosy interruptions to filming: “When the bicycle activist group Critical Mass attracts swarms of reporters and police helicopters outside the apartment where you’re filming, alter the script to include references to “living near a damned heliport!”
