Toshiba Shows New Hard Drive Camcorder

Toshiba have been showing their new Gigashot V10 hard drive camcorder at the CEATAC show in Japan, and Martyn Williams of IDG news has taken a look at it. The camcorder, which was first announced at the CES show in January, uses Toshiba’s 0.85-inch, 4-Gigabyte hard disk, plus an SD card to store video, and the company claims it can hold up to 4 and a quarter hours at the lowest quality and 1 hour 25 minutes at the highest. The Japanese price is ¥59,800 (about $530), but there’s no information on availability outside of the US. Here is a translated version of the Japanese press release. Technorati Tags:
