Avid Xpress to Include Sonic's DVDit! Authoring Software

Sonic Solutions announced that Avid Technology, Inc. has bundled their DVDit! authoring software with the new version of Avid Xpress DV. DVDit! is a popular DVD authoring application used to create titles for events, wedding videos, educational titles, business-to-business communications and creative projects.

’’We are delighted that Avid has chosen to bundle DVDit! with the new version of Avid Xpress DV,’’ said Rolf Hartley, vice president and general manager of the Sonic Professional Products Group.

The combination of DVDit! and the new version of Avid Xpress DV gives editors the ability to edit analog or digital video, encode projects to MPEG-2, and author DVD titles with drag-and-drop menu compositing, easy chapter point placement, and interactive navigation controls.
