Australia based Byte Zone hits the market with the SnaZio, an IPod like device for storing video. Dubbed a Pocket Cinema, you can’t watch videos directly, but it allows for easy transportation of footage.
SnaZio connects to any computer through either a USB 2.0 or Firewire cable, to allow the device to play content compressed with JPEG, MPEG-I, VCD, SVCD, MPEG-II, Motion JPEG and WMV codecs. It doesn’t support DivX, but includes MP3, WAV and WMA compatibility. In addition to card storage, the Pocket Cinema has a 20GB hard disk.
An LCD screen displays all files in a directory, and included in the payback functions are fast forward, rewind, and track skip. You can not however ‘jog’ through a clip, or piece of music.
