A very reliable source has told camcorderinfo.com that Canon will announce the GL2 by July.

No other details about the camcorder were provided. A source who is close to Canon, has told camcorderinfo.com that Canon will be replacing the GL1 with a GL2 by July. We will try to bring you more details as soon as they are available.
