Canon Japan Announces the Japanese Version of the Elura 40MC, the IXY DV 3

Canon Japan has announced the IXY DV 3, the Japanese version of the Elura 40MC which was announced two weeks ago.

The camcorder will be available in Japan in May for 130,000 yen. Similar to the Elura 40MC, the camcorder has a 1/6 in 680K pixel CCD. The IXY DV 3 has a 10x optical zoom.

The IXY DV 3 Includes an 8MB SD card for saving digital stills to. The camcorder can save digital stills at both 1024 x 768 and 640 x 480 pixel resolutions. The camcorder transfers the still images from camcorder to computer using USB. The IXY DV 3 offers normal recording speed, ESP and ELP extended recording times.
