Canon Offers Rebate on Elura 40MC

Canon is offering a $100 rebate on the Elura 40MC and the Optura 200MC. Canon is also offering rebates on other DV camcorders for Pinnacle Studio 8.

If you purchase an Elura 40MC DV camcorder between April 1st and June 30th you can receive $100 plus a free copy of Pinnacle Studio 8 SE video editing software through a mail in rebate. Purchase an Elura 40MC DV camcorder and CP-10 printer and receive $200 a free copy of Pinnacle Studio 8 software. If you purchase an Optura 200MC and the printer you can get a $100 rebate plus the Pinnacle editing software, without the printer you just get the editing software. Users who purchase a ZR60, ZR65MC, ZR70MC, and an Optura 10 (Specs, $373.15) and Optura 20 can recieve a free copy of Pinnacle Studio 8 as well.

For more information or to collect your rebate visit www.usa.canon.com. Interestingly the company is offering $100 off the Elura 40MC even with out the purchase of the printer. This might possibly mean that Canon is trying to clear inventory for a possible replacement, though we have no other evidence leaning towards a replacement for the Elura 40MC.
