Canopus Announces New Scan Converters

Canopus Corporation announced next months release of two new multifunctional video converters, the TwinPact100 and ADVC300. These products will be the first multifunctional video converters that combine; on-screen graphics-to-analog and DV scan conversion with a bidirectional analog/DV converter in one unit. Advanced image enhancement technology, digital noise reduction, and image stabilization, clean, stabilize and preserve old VHS and Hi8 videos in DV format.

With screen resolutions up to 1600x1200 pixels, and support of Canopus EDIUS, Final Cut Pro, Avid Xpress DV and Adobe Premiere Pro, TwinPact100 can track, zoom, and output any application window or desktop area to a television, VCR or monitor in high-res. TwinPact100 can also be used as a stand-alone converter without the need of a PC or MAC.

The ADVC300's filtering features include advanced 3D Y/C separation to reduce color noise and improve image quality, 3D digital noise reduction to eliminate noise in the analog video signal, a line time base corrector (LTBC) to correct any video images jitter, as well as frame synchronization and auto gain control.
