Dazzle releases MovieStar 5

MovieStar 5 offers many features that make it easy to make a home video look professional, including:

  • FastKut Trimmer windows that allow users to quickly trim up to three adjoining video clips at once, making it easier to create smooth flowing projects;
  • Storyboard or Timeline views that offer the flexibility to work in a very simple or exceptionally precise mode;
  • Over 100 3D transitions and special effects to add a professional look;
  • An innovative user interface that enables most common editing tasks to be done in three mouse clicks or less;
  • Background rendering to dramatically speed up video processing;
  • An integrated Video CD burning engine so users can record directly to their CD burner without additional software; and
  • The ability to output to videotape or the web right from the software itself.

MovieStar 5 will be sold as a stand-alone product, as well as bundled as a key software component with numerous Dazzle video capture products. It is compatible with Windows 98 SE, 2000, ME and XP operating systems. MovieStar 5 is priced at $49.99 (MSRP) and available in August 2002.
