FOCUS Enhancements annouces FireStore DV Conversion Suite

FOCUS Enhancements has announced the release of the FireStore DV Conversion Suite. The FireStore DV Conversion Suite is a packet of software that supports post-acquisition file and conversion needs. The FireStore DV Conversion Suite can be used for file conversions in conjunction with FOCUS Enhancements’ Direct To Edit Technology (DTE). The FireStore DV Conversion Suite can also be used by the consumer as simply a file converter.

The FireStore DV Conversion Suite converts DV files between all major NLE file formats. The FireStore DV Conversion Suite uses familiar drop down menus and does not involve decompression or compression ensuring no loss in quality. The FireStore DV Conversion Suite consists of two software programs, DV File Converter and DV Standards Converter.

DV File Converter is compatible with QuickTime®, AVI Type 1, Reference AVI Type 1 and 2, Conopus AVI Type 1 and 2, Matrox RT2500/DigiSuite AVI, Raw DV, Sony ES-3, AVID® DV OMF files.

The FireStore DV Conversion Suite's DV File Converter also has several other features, including melding of several one composite video clip with audio click/pop removal between clips, the ability to Insert or extract DV Audio and add copyright info.

DV Standards converter uses a similar drop down interface to switch NLE files from NTSC to PAL or from PAL to NTSC. DV Stands also includes batch conversion and command line support. DV Standards also has no file size limitation.

The FireStore DV Conversion Suite is available through the FOCUS Enhancements worldwide dealer and distributor network. The DV File Converter program is available at a US MSRP of $199, and the DV Standards Converter program at a US MSRP of $299. Demo versions are available at the FOCUS Enhancements website.
