The Japanese division of JVC has released the GR-DVX600K. The GR-DVX600K has a Megapixel CCD and a 10x optical zoom. The GR-DVX600K is capable of 530 lines of resolution.

The camcorder can save digital stills to SD cards. The camcorder can take up to 1280 x 768 pixel stills. The camcorder can also record 3 minutes of MPEG4 video to the included SD cards. Whether or not the camcorder can utilize a full SD card which can exceed 256MB is unknown.

The camcorder can connect to a computer via the USB port and can also act as a web cam, similar to newer Sony camcorders. The camcorder will be available in Japan in May. With the introduction of this camcorder, JVC will have added many features which Sony camcorders used to have and JVC ones didn't.
